Enjoyable and relaxed trip to Bintan Lagoon.

Bintan Resorts has been where I can go to get away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. It is in the Northern part of "Pulau Bintan" (Bintan Island) belonging to Indonesia. On 16 July 2004, I arrived at the Bintan Resorts ferry terminal, together with my hubby, mum and mum's friend. We were greeted by the staffs of Bintan Lagoon and boarded their bus which will ferry us to the hotel.

On our arrival at the hotel, we were surprised by their very special welcome, which included a beating drum. The staffs stood in a line, and guided us to the reception area. Fruit punch was served. The receptionist had already prepared our paperwork. We had booked a bungalow with a private pool. Then we were ferried to our unit in a buggy.

When we reached our unit, it was a "wow"... There were 5 air-conditioned bedrooms in the "Angsoka" unit. The living room was well equipped with TV, radio, VCD player, LD player, etc. There's another sitting area with a sofa set upstairs and a balcony. The private pool was a bit small though, but surrounded by lots of greenery. There's a BBQ pit too!

Our unit came with a 4 seater buggy. A bit small though for so many of us. Soon after we put down our things, we went for a ride in the buggy and explored the facilities of the hotel. Me and hubby decided to go for a massage the next day. It was a real relaxation treat... We went to the driving range too. Psst... I filled up the empty spaces with all the golf balls near where we pitched off...

It was a relaxing short break...
