Wanna slim down???

If you are bored, or wanna take a breather from work (like me now having a tea break from my thesis writing), and you wanna consider slimming down, or know someone who really wanna slim down, or know someone who's going through a health challenge, look further at the following websites...

***Warning: Not for the weak hearted.*** ;) kekeke...

25kg in one month:
If that's too fast, how about 20kg in 3 months? Just spend more lor... ;)

http://thelastsamurai.multiply.com/photos/album/32?mark_read=thelastsamurai:photos:32

There's something similar in both of these slimming cases. First of all, it's too good to be true, rite? They went through a rejuvenation program, the Hunza way :) Amazing, isn't it?

Results:
Slim down (in underweight cases, gain weight!), look younger, more energetic, radiant skin. For ladies, more beautiful than ever :) Did you notice any lose skin folds in their photos? The answer is no, rite?

Oh yes, I have a good girl friend who slimmed down more than 20kg in 3 months after she got to know about the Hunza way from me. I have yet to meet up with her. She's in KL and has been travelling around Asia for work. Hope I will have a chance to catch her in town soon. She is extremely happy with the results that she went for an expensive photoshoot in the studio! She told me that she has not been so slim before. She had tried many ways of slimming, including going to popular, expensive and well advertised slimming centers. So she's like me, never slim before since childhood till we got to know about the Hunza way... Easy maintenance too... :)

Aloysius' assessment and trip to night safari :)

Our classmates and dedicated sensei for the term Jan07-Mar07.

Yesterday, during the Shichida class, we received the assessment of Aloysius which was done when he was at 7 months old :). The assessment are classified as:- above expectation, within expectation, under expectation. He was assessed in his motor skills, IQ, linguistic skills, and social skills. He has the highest score for his motor skills. He has motor skills of a 15 months old child which is above expectation. He has IQ of a 12 months old child which is above expectation. For linguistic, he's at 13 months old child which is also above expectation. He has social skills of a 10 months old child which is within expectation. We need to do more to improve his social skills. Sensei recommended that we bring him out more often to let him see how we communicate with other people. Bring him to the beach or gardens or playground where there are other kids playing and communicating with one another. The sensei also suggested that we should bring kids to the beach to let them play and feel the sand. And also to teach them how to dig the sand, and also build sandcastle. hmm... I think perhaps not the sand for Aloysius yet, cos he will put anything new into his mouth. Maybe we will start to bring him to the beach more often for picnic. I think the Botanical garden is not bad too, cos there are many kids playing around too. To improve IQ, I gotta give him opportunity with zig-saw puzzles. He has chewed the corners of two of his puzzles. hmm... Maybe shape sorter will do too :). I just took out his Thomas train shape sorter to let him play.

Last nite, after Aloysius' Shichida class, we took a cab to the night safari :) Aloysius fell asleep on the cab and woke up when we just entered the night safari. There were 11 of us, plus 3 toddlers and Aloysius :) We went to the animal show first. At the show, Aloysius was a little bit cranky. There were a lot of people. Photography with flashlights is strictly forbidden. And we gotta "booo" togather if we see any flashlights during the show. When we were "practising" the "booo", Aloysius cried! He got a fright, and perhaps dislike the "booo" sound... I gotta go to the top and stand to console him. Perhaps he was feeling a little bit warm cos the amphitheater is very crowded. And he's still tired. He watched part of the show with me standing. During the show, someone snapped his/her camera. Everyone went "booo", and Aloysius cried again. It took me a while to console him. After the show, we went for a tram ride. At the beginning of the ride, Aloysius laid on me and saw some animals, such as the different species of deers, lions, flamingoes. It was quite dark. Before we reached the leopard trail, Aloysius fell asleep. Since he was sleeping comfortably in my sling, I continued to carry him and walked the leopard trail. He slept till we reached home at about 11+pm, and woke up for milk. He did not eat his food for dinner. Overall, the night safari is very impressive and nicely done. No wonder there are sooooo many tourists. Thumbs up for Singapore's night safari :).

Swim noodle...

Today, after Aloysius' morning nap, we brought him down for a swim. He can hang on to the swim noodle on his own now :) I have been teaching him how to hang onto the swim noodle for the past few swimming session. Next, I will be letting go and let him propel on his own :) Then I will bring him to the lap pool to swim :)

Aloysius' first picnic!

This morning, we brought Aloysius for his first picnic at the Botanical Gardens :). When we reached there at about 9+am, Aloysius fell asleep. We pushed him around to find a cool spot to sit and let him sleep. We settled with a space, under a big shady tree, overlooking the swan lake. The weather was very nice and pleasant. There were many kids running around and playing on the big grass fields. We saw a grandpa and two boys. They were encouraged to compete in running up and down the slope. hmm... Some ideas of encouraging Aloysius to run next time when he can run :). I thought, kids need to have another kid to play and compete with to encourage them to run and play. I hope Aloysius will not be a lonely kid too. From "How to teach your baby to be physically superb", it's recommended to let kids run up and down slopes, and on different terrain.
We also saw a maid handling a pair of twin toddler boys. She was alone with the two boys. The boys were out of their stroller to walk and run. It did not seem easy when the two boys decided to run in the opposite directions. They have a unique stroller to fit both of them though. hmm... I couldn't see the brand though cos it was quite far.

We were supposed to meet some friends for the picnic. They finally arrived and we met at about 10.30am at the grass field near the Symphony lake. Aloysius woke up then, just in time to play. hahaha... I fed Aloysius with some grapes and he really loves his grapes :). The grass is a little bit damp, so we did not let Aloysius creep on his own. hmm... maybe next time when we bring more water for him to wash up. It will be so cute so see him creep on the green green grass, and let him feel the grass. hmm... Sensory stimulation :) Oh yes, my parents brought Aloysius to the East Coast Park last week. My dad let him feel the sand and the sea water. He was so happy :).

The picnic ended at about 1pm and we parted. Along the way home, Aloysius fell asleep :)

Eggs are scary?!

I am reading the book by Dr. Makoto Shichida. There are two chapters about the scary part of eggs.

It's a common belief that eggs is a very good source of protein, hence their children are fed eggs daily. According to Dr. Shichida, consumption of eggs is worse than the consumption of meat or dairy products. Nowadays, the quality of the protein in eggs are worse than before. This is because the chicken are reared in a confined area and are fed with processed food.

According to a research by the American physicians, they found that eggs is one of the food that will hinder the development of kids' brains. If a normal kid who is fed with more than 6 eggs a day, results in school will deteriorate very fast.

Most chefs who frequently fry eggs, usually have nervous breakdown or problems, because the fume from the fried eggs will have a negative effect. The increment in the number of cases of people with nervous breakdown is equivalent to the increment in the number of eggs sold. Eggs can also cause allergy. Majority of cases of ear infection in kids are due to the daily consumption of eggs.

hmm... Some people say eggs are good for kids, some say no. Who to believe? But I am a fan of Dr. Shichida, and am very KS when it comes to brain development of Aloysius.

Problem Solving.

I just did problem solving with Aloysius after flashing him the Glen Doman cards. I flashed 15 Chinese and 15 English cards. He stared at them all, cos he was trying to reach for the cards I was holding :) After that, I chose 3 sets of 2 cards to ask him to pick out the words I wanted. I used Chinese words this time. He got 2 correct out of the 3 sets :)

Yesterday, I did photographic memory with him, and he got them correct too :) The only thing is that he chose the correct card to put inside his mouth to chew. hahaha...

Aloysius' apple homework!

We finally managed to hand in Aloysius' homework for the term yesterday! hahaha... It's the second last lesson for the term. We have sent our camera for repair, so cannot take a picture to show. We managed to get Aloysius to crush some red papers for his apple over a few weeks. It's not easy to get him to crush the paper I wanted him to. hahaha... But he will tear and crush the newspapers though. I pasted his apple, and his daddy colored the stem and leaf. Best of all, Aloysius' daddy also found a photo and cut it to paste on it :) Aloysius' sinsei commented that his homework is made with lots of love :) Indeed, it's with lots of love from his daddy.

Yesterday, we received sinsei's assessment for the term too. The sinsei suggested us to do more ESP games with Aloysius at home. I have not been consistent with playing ESP games with him at home. I find it quite difficult. hmm... How ah? Gotta go and find out how to practice ESP at home with him. He will be creeping everywhere, or putting everything into his mouth nowadays. Maybe I haven't been hardworking enough in trying his home practice. Yesterday's ESP game was using hearing (hear the phone or the cock) and touch (hot).

Two weekends ago, we went to the baby fair at Takashimaya, and bought a set of musical instrument toys for Aloysius :) The xylophone is out of tune, but luckily there's a drum on the other side. Aloysius loves the drum and the bells. We still yet to buy an abacus.

Last weekend, we went to Kiddy Palace at TPY and bought him 100 plastic balls :) Since from Shichida's book, we should give babies balls. Last nite, we gave Aloysius one yellow ball from the pack and he was happily playing and chasing after the ball :) I have got my mum to bring a small, foldable tent to contain the 100 balls for Aloysius to play in. The 100 balls is not enough to fill the base of the tent. If Aloysius loves it, we might consider getting more balls for him to play in his tent :) And also can invite some of his friends to come and play with him.

Aloysius dunk again!

Today, we brought Aloysius for a swim again. So far, we have been swimming on and off. It was a special day yesterday :). Aloysius loves to put his face into the water while his daddy was carrying him. Then, daddy showed him how to dunk. He looked in amazement and giggled. After that, we decided that he's interested to dunk. Daddy dunked him twice! Wow! He kept his mouth wide open in the water, and spit out the water when he's out of the water. He was happy after the dunk. hmm... Maybe I gotta really find time to read up on how to teach him to swim, and let him swim daily. Perhaps, when my back has fully recovered, then will bring him for swimming everyday. Gotta re-arrange his daily schedule again. I think it's rather difficult to teach him how to brachiate without the space to build a brachiation ladder at home. Maybe will let him swim instead of brachiate... cos mommy dunno how to brachiate too... How to be successful rite? At least both mommy and daddy can swim. Even por-por also can swim. So can Aloysius! :)

Nice photos of Aloysius at about 9 month.

Another cute "jumping machine" which Aloysius was so happily jumping in.

Aloysius is happily playing, tumbling, lying, standing, inside his cot.

Aloysius loves the piano! He played the piano as if he's really playing. He moved his hands and turned his head to look at his hands on the keys! As if he's a pianist! hmm... pianist in the making? I am still trying to find a way to shift my piano over for Aloysius and play for him everyday, and teach him the notes.

Aloysius will "brush" his teeth too when I am brushing my teeth in the morning. That's the pigeon's first "toothbrush". I think it's more like a gum massager.

Aloysius can sing!

I was very surprised and delighted this morning! And very excited about it. Aloysius can sing! My sis sang the ABC song to him a few times this morning. Then after she finished singing while in the kitchen, Aloysius went A B C D E F G... and we were so happy! He got the tune of the song too. Wow... This has been his favourite song, and he will dance with the song since he started crawling. This morning, when my sis sang the song, he danced too. He decided to sing when he was playing with the pumpkin.

This is Aloysius looking puzzled. Maybe he's wondering how come mama, por-por and san-ee are so happy laughing at me. hahaha... He's happily playing, feeling, rolling and investigating his pumpkin in the kitchen.

I also just realised that Aloysius can hold on to the shelf to walk fast and steady. Just now, when I was showing him the flashcards, he held to the shelf and walked pretty fast towards me. He wanted me to carry him. I had not carried him for almost 2 days already, cos I am having backache. Hopefully my backache will be gone later today after the accupuncture. It gonna be my 2nd accupuncture treatment.

Aloysius is 9 months old :)

It has been some time since I updated my blog. I have been very busy with Aloysius. Sometimes, I do not even have time to switch on my laptop. Let me update what I have learnt and done since the last update. So far, Aloysius has been creeping for almost 4 months already. Initially, I am not so eager to let him walk. hmm... I might change my mind. This morning, I was reading the book "How to teach your baby to be physically superb". Let you know after I have finished the book :). Hee... and if I have the time and remember to update here. Aloysius can creep up the stairs and ladder already. He loves to creep over obstacles under the dining table. Recently, he demonstrated that he can creep up the coffee table with the help of his toys box! Very soon, he will be up on the sofa. hmm... I constantly remind myself that I gotta give him the opportunity, but on the other hand, I will get very busy. hahaha... Priority should be for the development of Aloysius :)

A few days ago, my dad pushed him to the playground downstairs. He seems to be able to communicate with other babies. hahaha.. very cute... Seeing babies "ah ah ah" to each other is very cute. I did not go to the playground with them. Aloysius "ah ah ah" with another baby gal when I was changing his diaper at Taka nursery last Saturday. The baby gal also "ah ah ah". hmm... Is that babies' code of communication? Very cute, rite? My dad said Aloysius creeped a lot at the playground, and dun wanna go home!

I have attended 5 days of "Psychology of Vision" seminar. 2 days was with my sisters and hubby. 3 days was with my parents, my sis, da-sao, and sis's bf. It was a rewarding seminar. We are now a happier family. I learnt the importance of what our parents did to us may affect our success in future, our relationships with others, our decisions, etc. These can be applied to my dear son, Aloysius :).

I have read the book by Shichida titled "nao3 nei4 shi2 pin3 ruan3 ling2 zhi3". hmm... seems like white rice, eggs, cow's milk are not ideal for the brain development of kids, and same for adults too. Quite contradicting to previous believes rite? The best milk is still breast milk and no other milk. hmm... I am not trying to wean off Aloysius already. I think I will just let him wean off on his own when he's ready.

I read and found a book by Shichida titled "cong1 ming2 ying1 er2 pei2 yu4 fa3". I feel that this is another very good and practical book. I am always looking for books that tell me the recommendations on what to do at which stage. This book is what I have been looking for. If you are also looking for the same, I will recommend this book. For Aloysius' stage, I gotta buy him balls and balloons to teach him sizes, colours, weight, etc. And should be singing while playing a musical instrument to him daily. So far, I have only played CDs for him. I had collected songs in Swiss-German, Japanese, Hungarian, American-English. Nursery rhymes in Tagalog is next in the collection. Then maybe Canadian-French in July. Interesting, eh?

I am reading the book by Glen Doman titled "How to teach your baby to be physically superb". I haven't finish the book though. So far, the activities and practices are the same as what are recommended in the book "How smart is your baby". The difference is the evaluation part, and at which months for the stages of development. The aim now is to continue with the balance activities, and to creep 400 yards a day. This distance gotta be increased slowly with practice. hmm... I am not very sure how much Aloysius is creeping daily now, but we consciously think of ways to let him creep. It was stated in the book that the more babies creep, the earlier they can walk.

There will be 2 more Shichida class before the term break :). Yesterday, after the lesson, we stayed on for a while. The sinsei allowed the babies to freely play with the big abacus. Aloysius wanna climb up the big abacus! hahaha... The sinsei also taught us how to use the abacus to teach baby about "space". Time to buy an abacus now and start practising with the abacus song at home. Aloysius' sinsei also gave us the lyric of the abacus song. And another thing about abacus is to buy the plain ones, not the colorful ones cos baby will get distracted. The size of the abacus does not matter much.

As for Aloysius' weaning process, he's now taking a meal of oatmeal with a fruit at about 10am. Then his lunch at about 12pm. He will want his milk at about 3pm. I still latch him on. I am trying to feed him other food at 3pm, but it's not been successful, partly cos I haven't got the time and energy to prepare another meal. His dinner will be at about 6pm. His food is mainly mashed potato with vegetable such as avocado, pumpkin, butternut squash, spinach, broccoli. My sis's friend stayed with us for the past 5 days. She was asking me how come Aloysius is always eating. hahaha... I think Aloysius is either having a growth spurt or creeping a lot lately. He has got very good appetite.

We will be going to Bintan again in two weeks' time :). This time, we will be going to Bintan Lagoon resort...
