2nd JG class today.

Later today, will be Aloysius’ second lesson at JG. Hope he will like the lesson and better than last week :) Just now I was reading another book by Shichida. Hmm… this book is almost “permanently” placed in the toilet till I finish reading it. Hahaha… Oops… Now you all know when I read my books. Today, I read about the things to do for toddler between 1 year old and 2 years old. It’s quite interesting. Let me recall. When we give toddler a toy, mommy should play with him and teach him. When the toddler throws things, we gotta find toys with different textures, different size, different shapes to let him throw far or near, and with both right and left hands. When in the bath, we should let the toddler play with water. Give him some toys that will float or sink to play with. And giving sponges to play with in the water was also suggested

First lesson at JG.

Today was the first lesson of the term for Julia Gabriel for Aloysius. Me and my mum brought Aloysius there. We have opted for twice a week (Tues, Thurs) 1pm classes for the rest of the term at Forum. It will be the sixth week of the term. There will be 5 more weeks of lesson for Aloysius. His teacher is Lin. Today, Aloysius had 6 other classmates. He took a while to warm up to the class and he loved the snack.
He was the last to finish his organic brown rice crisps before we made our way to the playground. He rode on the Little Tikes car which we were eyeing on at Aprisin. I pushed him around, and he loved it :) He played on the sand for a little while and realized that he dun really like the feeling of having sand on his hand. Hahaha…

The last segment of the session is music time. Another teacher came into the class and played with the keyboard while the rest sing. After bubble time (the finale), the kids were allowed to have a play on the keyboard :) Aloysius loved it!

After his JG class, it was raining heavily. Hence, we brought Aloysius to Hard Rock Café for our lunch. I was impressed that there’s someone from the restaurant with umbrellas, waiting and servicing their patrons :). Aloysius was very hungry and had his porridge, and we had our meals. There was an Indian waiter there who wanted to play with Aloysius. However, Aloysius cried when he saw the Indian waiter. He’s scared of him. Hahaha… Aloysius hid himself with the table cloth when the Indian guy walked pass. It’s really cute to see him hiding with the table cloth, covering his eyes. I dun really know why Aloysius is scared of Indian guy. We did not scare him.

Julia Gabriel playnest!

We have finally decided to sign up Aloysius for Julia Gabriel playnest. It's for babies and toddlers from 6 - 18 months old. We will be starting his class tomorrow at 1pm at Forum. There will be no water play there, whereas, the one at Evans Road will have. I do not really mind that since Aloysius gets to swim downstairs. I have been thinking whether to send him there since it is a commitment of 3 times a week. It's quite a lot of time commitment from my side. I called them a few days ago, and was told that I can also opt for the class for twice a week. Finally I have decided to commit for this term :) It's gonna be fun for both of us. Yeah! I hope Aloysius will enjoy playing with his classmates and learn some social skills :)

Shopping for Aloysius.

Recently, we have been buying quite a number of things for Aloysius lately. On Sunday, during his Shichida class, I went shopping at Kiddy Palace at TPY, hoping to buy a pair of casual shoes for him. I ended up buying a toilet seat and an 11” Baby Pooh for him. I read from Shichida’s book that at 18 months, we gotta give him something soft to cuddle, something that can still be with him when mommy is not around. It will keep him emotionally calm and secured. He loves his new Baby Pooh bear. He has been cuddling it when he’s sleeping for the past few days. Last nite, he woke up when I left the bed to the toilet. To my surprise, he just cuddled his Baby Pooh, flipped left and right a few times, and fell asleep :) I am hoping that he will fall asleep on the bed on his own when he’s tired.

Yesterday, we went to Aprisin to buy the accessories for his Aprica milk bottles. When we were there, of course, we will shop a bit. Kekeke… We bought him a pair of cute Aprica sandals and a cover for his stroller too. He has been eating on his stroller and the cover gets dirty very fast. It’s not easy to get the cover out to wash. We also bought him a Little Tikes caterpillar xylophone. We were looking at a Little Tikes convertible car and a coupe. We let Aloysius try on them. He does not seem to like it, so we did not buy one :)

Revising "How smart is your baby".

Aloysius is now sleeping since 1pm. We brought him down for a swim. When we came back, he was so tired and could not wait to sleep. His daddy made some milk for him, fed him, and he started to sleep till now. We are now waiting for him to wake up to go for his Shichida lesson.

While waiting, I am revising “How smart is your baby”, and reading the relevant section for Aloysius’ stage of development – Stage 4. For the visual and auditory program, it’s about pictures cards and words cards, which we have been doing. It is very important to introduce the environment to Aloysius at this stage by telling him the names of the things around him. We gotta tell him the names of things when we go for a walk. Hmm… How to tell him the names of the plants which I do not even know? :( I wish I am a botanist now… According to GD, at this stage, he will begin to point at everything, and he wants to hear the name of everything. We also need to teach baby about time frame and start using words like “now”, “not now”, “before”, “after”, “later”.

Aching all over...

I am feeling awful today. I have been very tired and aching all over since yesterday evening. I felt nausea and slight giddiness too :( I had some durian in the late afternoon yesterday, and had been feeling awful since. Will heatiness cause tiredness? Or is it dengue? I dunno. I dunno what’s wrong with me. I have stopped breastfeeding Aloysius for a week now. I dunno if it’s related to my hormonal changes in the body. Gosh…

When we came back from KL, Aloysius wanted me to carry and carry, and refused to walk. It could be partly because I have not been carrying nor playing with him for a few days while I was preparing for my exams. ***guilty*** Luckily, since yesterday, he’s back to his happy self. I do not have to keep carrying him now. He’s walking everywhere. And also not forgetting “ransacking” my drawers, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets. Last nite, when I was having a meeting at WBG office, he walked the length of the office more than 10 times. Hmm… I think he had walked easily 1km yesterday. Aloysius, mommy is proud of you. Well done! :)

I had finally weaned Aloysius off breast feeding. He’s now taking Purenat goat’s milk. This is the only goat’s milk that he will drink. It has no sugar added. I think Aloysius dun like sweet stuffs. I hope this will be the case even when he grows up :)

Hmm… How did I wean? Maybe you will ask. Aloysius used to suck and sleep. At one point, he could only sleep when he’s sucking. Then one fine night, he decided that he could not sleep when latching on. Hahaha… He would not fall asleep after latching on even. So I decided to wean him off from there. I started with latching him on shorter and shorter to keep engorgement at bay :). During the first few days, I gotta wake up to carry and pat him back to sleep a few times in the night. It was rather tiring then, cos I used to just latch him on and both of us would fall back asleep. Luckily, from this week, he has been sleeping through the night without needing any night feeds :). I am glad that he has reached the stage of sleeping through the night. Nowadays, I do not need to carry and pat him already. I will put him on the bed and lie beside him to pat him. Aloysius loves the closeness to me. He will grab my clothes when he falls asleep. The next stage will be slowly “training” him to sleep in his cot through the night.

I started to re-introduce the Maths dots this week. Aloysius attention span has improved tremendously. These few days, I can show him at least 300 flashcards at one go. I dunno exactly how many. I just put them in a paper bag from Gucci. Kekeke… the paper bag size is just nice to fit in those A5 sized cards. I just need to carry the bag around. He loves the speed reading stories very much. He will go “ah ah ah” if I am too slow to change the category. Hahaha… mommy here pant pant… Yesterday, I showed him 100 – 0 dots, all at one go, after all the other flashcards, and he just looked through attentively. After that, I gave him problems solving. He gave me a very wide and beautiful smile when I asked him to choose. Hahaha… He’s so cute. I still remember from Glen Doman’s advice that I should stop before he wants to stop. So I stopped and he cried for more for a while. One thing is that he dun really like the “san zi jing” which I wrote on my own :( Maybe my writing is ugly. Hahaha… He prefers the printed ones.

Second week in KL.

I have been very busy since we came back from KL. I have yet to fully unpack the luggage even.
Last Monday, while we were still in KL, Aloysius walked and walked for the whole day on his own. My mum said he could have easily walked 1km. 1 mile a day is the target from Glen Doman’s book on physical fitness. However, on Tuesday morning, Aloysius started to develop a fever, but he’s still a curious toddler. My dad managed to queue and got me the last ticket to the Sky Bridge for that day on last Friday, however, we did not go, cos Aloysius was still having a fever. His fever came and went, came and went a few times before it finally subsided :). Again, I fed him 2 Indinine a day and more Vitality Plus. The second week in KL for Aloysius is mostly in the hotel - in the apartment, in the kids' playroom, by the swimming pool, breakfast at the Sky Lounge. We brought him out of the hotel during dinner only. Oh yes, when I was preparing for my theory exams on Thursday, my parents brought him to Genting! My mum's reasoning was that Aloysius fell asleep in the car, and they wanted to go somewhere more cooling, hence off they went up to Genting. hahaha...

Since we could not go to the Sky Bridge, I left Aloysius with my mum in the apartment and walked to WBG office in KL to buy some products and settle some stuffs for my consumers in KL :). When I was there, I met a few people and we started a small chat. There’s someone with a very interesting story to share. The slim, soft spoken gal had muscle dystrophy for the past 2 years. She tried numerous kind of products and method to help herself, but to no avail, till she met her good friend who introduced Indinine and WBG to her. She gave it a go. She started to take 10 Indinine, 100 Vitality Plus and 2 Fibre Plus a day. On the tenth day, she felt that she actually had more strength to walk. She gained confidence in Hunza products. She took 10 Indinine, 100 Vitality Plus and 2 Fibre plus a day for 2 months. Wow… 1 Indinine is about RM20, 20 Vitality Plus is about RM8 and 1 Fibre Plus is about RM3. The amount she’s spending on the daily basis is significant to me. She has reduced the dosage to 4 Indinine, 100 Vitality Plus and 1 Fibre Plus a day now. She has been on this dosage for 4 months already. When I saw her in the office, she just looked like a normal, soft spoken, gentle, and beautiful lady. She could walk properly. And she was in the office to buy more products. Isn't it amazing?

Hmm… Come to think of it, it’s better to take good care of our health, rather than trying to reverse an illness. It will cost more to spend on medical care when one is ill, than spending on supplements to take good care when one is still healthy now. Nowadays, it’s a trend that when one is ill, apart from spending on seeing a specialist or specialists, it’s a norm to spend on supplements too. Hence, it's expenditure of medical fees plus supplements.

Mugging...

I am so bored now. I need a break! hahaha... Only two weeks of studying to get a license as a radiation protection officer, and I need a break already. I just had my practical exams this morning. It was very easy :) Heng ah... Tomorrow gonna be the theory exams. I must pass this exams! The passing rate is only 20%. Stress stress... If you need to employ a consultant in radiation protection, dun forget me... price negotiable... I only work part-time :P If your radiation source is Uranium, neutrons, or radiation from nuclear fission, forget about me for now, cos I still wanna have more babies. kekeke...

I have been studying since 2pm on this chair, at this table, in this apartment, in this hotel, in KL, in Malaysia, in South East Asia, in Asia, on this earth, in this universe... Anymore? hahaha... Got "short" by the radioactive materials and radiation notes already...

My parents have brought Aloysius out some where. Dunno where they went... For the past few days, they have been going to KLCC park and shopping everyday. But yesterday was nice... We went up to the SkyBridge at KLCC :) I came back earlier and used the "self-study" time to visit Sky Bridge with my parents, brother and Aloysius.

I have forgotten to bring the Canon camera, so we took some photos using my mum's BenQ. Probably, tomorrow, after the exams, I will bring Aloysius up to the Sky Bridge again :) This time, will choose the time when the beautiful water fountains in the KLCC park will be operating. The fountains will operate at 12pm-2pm, and 6pm-10pm. Two days ago, after dinner, I sat beside the water fountain with Aloysius for a good half an hour :) The "water fountain show" is indeed beautiful at night. I have forgotten to bring the camera to capture the scenery though. Probably will see if there's any chance to walk to KLCC for dinner tonite :).

Ok, I gotta stop here... I am more refreshed now. Gotta continue to study... mug mug mug...

First week in Kuala Lumpur.

It has been a week since we arrived in KL. One more week to go though. Aloysius has been a very happy boy. His walking skill is improving by the days. The distance walked a day is also increasing by the days :). He’s now a real toddler. When I go for my course everyday, my parents will bring him around KL, visiting relatives. He will sit in his car seat and enjoy the scenery along the way. When he got tired, he will just close his eyes and nap. I will only get to see him and play with him in the evening. Gosh… just like full time working mothers :( Every morning, I gotta wake up early and leave for the course by 7.30am. Most of the days, he will still be sleeping. After my course, my parents will drive him to fetch me. Then, I will be able to see him and play with him. After dinner, he will be tired and need to go to bed already. The time spent with him a day is not much. Hmm... this is not the life that I want. It firms up my decision on not willing to be a full time working mother. What if the pay is very good? Maybe will think about that… kekeke… During the course, I met a few gals in their early 20s. One of them told me that she’s not happy with her parents, cos they were busy making money and let her be taken care of by a nanny. She’s not the only person I have met with this type of unhappiness. Hmm… I think I will not want my kids to think this way next time when they grew up. I felt that this is something which money cannot buy. Perhaps it’s some kind of happiness which cannot be bought with loads and loads of monetary wealth. I am afraid that I might live in regrets in future.

My mum will prepare Aloysius’ food and feed him his porridge and goats’ milk. His milk is expensive! He only likes PureNat, the organic goats’ milk, and refused to drink Karihome nor Healtheries. One week, he will finish up almost 2 tins of the milk. Each tin cost RM48. hmm... need to earn more from some where to feed him his favourite milk. Any lobang?

We missed the first Shichida lesson of the new term. While in KL, I tried my best to show him his flashcards. I brought along a set of his flashcards. He seems to love the speed reading stories very much. I will show him the cards while in the car while traveling back from where my course is to the hotel. He will sit in his car seat and enjoy the flashcards sessions. He dun seem to like the “san zi jing” which I used a red marker to write myself. He only likes “ren zi chu…”. Perhaps it’s becos I have been narrating that to him since he’s 1 month old. Lately he is interested in books. He will take out his favourite book and start flipping and “ba ba ba ba…” away to anyone around him. It’s really cute to see him pointing at the book and “ba ba ba…” in his own baby language. His favourite book now is a board book which his daddy bought for him from Australia – “Parents and babies”. I try to read to him “Good night, Little Mouse” every night before he sleeps. These few days, he prefers to take the book to flip on his own. At times, he will point the paragraphs to me and I will read to him. I am hoping to cultivate a reading habit in him, which I did not have when I was young. I only started to read lots of books when I started to do research ;).

Aloysius’ daddy joined us in KL on Friday night. We drove up to Genting Highlands on Saturday. Aloysius was very curious during the journey. It’s his first time going up a mountain. He was curiously looking around his surrounding during the journey. There were lots for him to see and observe when we were at Genting. He was tired, but he preferred to look around everywhere. There were a lot of people. We forgotten to bring his jacket and left it in another car. Luckily, it was not very cold. Aloysius had a ride on the carousel at the indoor theme park with his daddy. Initially, he was puzzled how come he’s going up and down. He held on to the bar very tightly. Hahaha… He loved the ride on the carousel and dun really wanna get down. We had a brief walk outside the hotel, and off we went back to KL city. Aloysius fell asleep on our journey back. It was a relaxing and enjoyable trip to Genting. We had a family dinner at Roadhouse Grill at Ampang.

This morning, we walked to KLCC after our breakfast at the Sky Lounge. It was a nice experience to dine with a view of Malaysia’s icon – KL Twin towers. We went to the park at KLCC. Aloysius loves watching the water fountain. There are also a big dry playground and a big wet pool for the kids. It is FOC! Wow…

Next week, I will be having my exams on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully I will have some time for Aloysius and bring him to the wet and dry playground to play. A stroll around KLCC park will be nice too :).
